DYMAT® CFR Bearings

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Bearings

Gives Superior Vertical Load Carrying Properties!

Overview

DYMAT® CFR Bearings are a composite of carbon fiber and virgin rubber. With advanced autoclave bonding techniques each pad has a series of open weave 0/90 carbon fiber layers throughout the rubber matrix. The final product is a bearing pad giving superior vertical load carrying properties.

The DYMAT® CFR Bearings have been tested at several universities for shear deformation, vertical load, and tensile strength. Additional large-scale testing has been also completed with DYMAT’s Dual Seismic Isolation (DuSI) System.

In the Dual Seismic Isolation (DuSI) System design, the structural engineer can easily tailor the system to the desired performance by either changing the ratio of sliders to CFR Bearings or increasing/decreasing the bearing area of the simple sliders.
