Repair Chutes
Apartments and condominiums around the world haνe chutes that extend down from one floor to the next, then all the way to the basement or central storage location, for pickup of trash. With time, the concrete or the material lining of the chutes begin to deteriorate.
The DYMAT® Chute Lining System is installed with work people not going into the Chute, since working in a chute is very difficult and inherently unsafe.
DYMAT®’s Chute Lining method is to inflate a fabric tube to create a liner without workers inside the shaft. The fabric is very tightly woven and formed into a tube, saturated with resin, and inserted into the Chute. The tube is then inflated and the system installation is complete. No bladder needs to be removed since the system acts as its own bladder.
The Method
The method of repairing a chute uses a self-inflating fabric tube to create a liner without a worker inside the shaft. Especially tightly-woνen fabric is formed into a tube, saturated with resin, and inserted into the chute. The tube is first inflated with air from a pressure source, it the adheres to the interior chute wall and finally it cures. The process is repeated until all damaged portions of the chute are lined. The cured liner fills cracks and spalled areas, while resisting further damage from impacts and abrasion.
